How to Apply Vinyl

Application instructions for Vinyl Lettering Product

PREPARE YOUR SCRIPTUREART FOR APPLICATION

Unroll your ScriptureArt and lay it out flat so that the lettering side is up.

Take the applicator and rub firmly over all the vinyl to make sure it adheres well to the application tape. Pay special attention to anywhere where there are thin edges, curves or small pieces.

PREPARE YOUR WALL FOR APPLICATION

Make sure your wall is clean, dry, and free from debris.

Plan out where you want to apply your quote and mark it on the wall.

Use painters tape to tack up the artwork and check it with a level to make sure your artwork is level and even.

APPLY YOUR SCRIPTUREART

After you have marked the wall, take down your ScriptureArt, lay it out flat with the backing up and GENTLY start peeling off the backing. Start in the upper left corner and peel SLOWLY AND GENTLY. You want ALL the vinyl lettering to stick to the application tape. If you see any lettering that is still attached to the backing, gently re-adhere the layers and rub with the applicator again to make the letters stick to the application tape.

After you have peeled the entire back off, place the adhesive side of the artwork (still on the application tape) on the wall.

Check to make sure the artwork is still even and then gently start smoothing it down on the wall with your hands.

Take the applicator and repeat step #2, FIRMLY applying pressure to make the vinyl lettering stick to the wall. At any point, if the letters are not releasing from the application tape, simply place application tape back down on the wall and rub the applicator over the section that you are trying to release and then continue pulling back the application tape.

Step back and enjoy your new ScriptureArt!
